Clementine (Tina) Julia Adele Parsons
4th April 1973 - 18th January 2005

We spent the last 13 months of Tina's life with her. While it was not a long period of time it had a major impact on our lives. During that time she attempted to commit suicide twice, by connecting a garden hose to the exhaust of her car and then placing the hose through the back window, sealing off the window gap with clothing. On her first attempt she was found locked in her car at a park in a semi conscious state. She was taken to intensive care and survived. On a second attempt she did the same thing, but during rang me on her cellphone. I found her at a park where she would walk her dog, with the car exhaust and garden pipe connected up but the car not running, she was very agitated with me for turning up. She refused to come with me so I called the police and an ambulance eventually came to pick her up and made sure she was okay. The third and final time she made sure we would be unable to find her, she rang me earlier that evening saying she was going to stay with a relative who lived near the beach. Instead she found a quiet spot at the back of an industrial unit, not far from from where she grew up in Mangere. She had quite a bit to drink and once again used a garden hose taped to the exhaust pipe to direct the fumes into the car interior. Her dog Bruce was with her. Tina and Bruce were found dead in the car the next morning.
